Spray irrigation system conversion:  If your existing alternative treatment system includes above-ground spray irrigation for effluent disposal, you should consider converting to subsurface drip irrigation.  This will eliminate those unsightly berms and sprinkler heads.  You will reclaim your yard for normal use without the worry of untimely sprinkler operation or potential contamination.  Call us to discuss this really attractive alternative to effluent disposal that will significantly add to the enjoyment and value of your property.

Leach lines in older septic systems can eventually clog and fail, causing backups, surfacing effluent and odors.  It has been shown that adding an aeration system to your septic tank produces highly-oxygenated effluent that can reduce or even eliminate the clogging in the leach lines.  If you have an older septic system, especially if it is in clay soil, you should consider aeration as a potential method of reducing or preventing clogged leach lines.  Replacement of failed leach lines can be expensive and under today’s more restrictive regulations, system replacement using an expensive alternative system could be required.

Many people are under the misconception that a septic tank must be pumped if it is full.  The fact is that septic tanks are always full of liquid, and the only time they have to be pumped is when solid matter builds up inside the tank.  So if you are pumping your tank frequently in an attempt to keep the septic system functioning you probably have a more serious issue to deal with, and it probably has to do with your leach lines.
